Award-winning writer and musician James McBride’s memoir, The Color of Water, was a New York Times bestseller for more than two years. His novel Song Yet Sung was the One Book, One Maryland choice of 2010. He cowrote and co-produced the 2012 film Red Hook Summer with Spike Lee, their second collaboration after Miracle at St. Anna in 2008. The Good Lord Bird, his latest novel, is about American revolutionary figure John Brown. It was released in August 2013 to critical acclaim.

*Oberlin College students, faculty, and staff & alumni: Distribution of OCID free tickets (2 per person) will begin at noon on Wednesday, February 26, from Central Ticket Service, Hall Auditorium. Students, faculty, staff, and alumni must show their Oberlin ID and pick up tickets in person.
