West College Street is the location of Oberlin’s only remaining 1860s buildings. This 1878 view of West College contains four building that are still with us today.

Today those 1860s building are the business sites of Ben Franklin and the Carlyle Shop, Foxgrape and LaVerne Fashions, Smith Furnishings, and the teahouse.
