The Pettiford Bakery, located in a new block built about four years ago by T. H. Rowland at 18 South Main street, is one of two Oberlin institutions baking bread for the retail trade in addition to transacting a retail business. The Gibson Brothers have had a large bakery here, located on East Lorain street for a number of years, and their product has sold well. Mr. Pettiford has a good business in both wholesaling and retailing. The business is managed by Clarence C. Pettiford.
