Nancy lives in Oberlin OH with her husband, children, and animals in a lovely century Arts & Crafts bungalow. She plays traditional and dance music on the recorder, bodhran, and mountain dulcimer and performs regularly in the Cleveland area with Mud In Yer Eye & Girls Gone Mild. She is currently working on her hand drumming technique. An avid backyard gardener (you can't get more locally grown than that!), she is currently seeing how far into winter she can push outdoor vegetable production in northern Ohio. Square foot gardening rules! A typical mid-November harvest of greens, carrots, & peas:
Having fulfilled life-time goals of parachute jumping and learning to kayak, she is now hoping to juggle and learn Indian and north African drumming. Favorite books include the Harry Potter, Patrick O'Brian's Aubrey/Maturin series of historic sea adventures, and an enduring if childish love of Mary Stewart's Merlin trilogy.
