Playing to Win

The Oberlin College baseball team rolled to 22 wins this season, the most in team history, which led to an invitation to the North Coast Athletic Conference Championship Tournament. The Yeomen opened the double-elimination tournament with an 11-3 loss to eventual conference champion College of Wooster, but came back with a 6-5, 12-inning victory over Denison University.

The Yeomen finished third after dropping a 6-5 contest to Allegheny College. Junior sidearm right-hander Mike McDonald (pictured) finished the season with a team high of five wins and 41 strikeouts in 40 innings pitched.
