Commencement

Oberlin College’s graduating Class of 2013 numbers about 75o students. These graduates will in the same day join the ranks of some 40,000 alumni during this year’s Commencement/Reunion Weekend.

Reunion weekend is full of traditional class and affinity group gatherings and symposiums led by returning alumni experts, as well as such unconventional activities as co-op lunches and the grand piano extravaganza, featuring eight grand pianos and musicians performing on the Finney Chapel stage. And everyone enjoys performances by OSteel, the Obertones, and OCircus! During Commencement, graduating seniors often don message-laced mortarboards or funky hats and wear traditional black robes (or not). This joint affair is perhaps the largest campus event open to all members of the Oberlin community.
