These young violinists performed in June at Clark Bandstand in Tappan Square as part of Mega Musical Mashup, the culminating event of the Community Music School’s 10th anniversary celebration. The school serves as the precollegiate program for the Conservatory of Music and offers private music lessons and classes for people ages 3 and older.
Selected as Lorain County’s “Best Music Instruction” in 2011 by Pulse magazine, this major outreach program for the conservatory is successful partly due to its accessibility. The school offers scholarships to fund lessons and lending programs to help students obtain instruments.
