Oberlin College football helmets rest on the practice grounds outside Dill Field Stadium. The Yeomen football team, first coached by John Heisman in 1892, competes in the North Coast Athletic Conference, which includes selective liberal arts colleges in the Midwest and Pennsylvania.
This fall, the Yeomen will try to build upon the successes of last season, which featured a 31-16 win over Wabash, ranked 10th nationally at the time, and a staggering display from senior defensive end Clay Eaton, who lead the nation in sacks, with 17. The new season kicks off September 15.
