Home at Last

Acclaimed novelist Toni Morrison reads an excerpt from her most recent book, Home, during a convocation talk at Oberlin College in spring 2012. Morrison, a native of nearby Lorain, Ohio, is the only writer to have received a Pulitzer Prize and a Nobel Prize for literature, in 1988 and 1993 respectively. In May 2012, President Barack Obama presented her with the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

The emerita professor from Princeton University has opened shop in Oberlin through the Toni Morrison Society, which moved its headquarters from Atlanta to Oberlin last year. Morrison visits campus again on September 20 to talk about the society and her new projects.
