Bowled Over

A student watches the ball glide down one of six lanes in Oberlin College Lanes. Opened since 1962, it is the only alcohol- and smoke-free bowling alley in Northeast Ohio. Students can take bowling classes, have bowling parties, and compete with the Oberlin Thunder bowling team. College Lanes is open year-round to students and community members.

The modest facility is part of Hales Annex, a recreation complex on campus that also houses a pool hall, and the student-run Cat in the Cream Coffeehouse, which regularly hosts live music, poetry readings, and improv shows.
