Section I: Foundations
I-1: Posture and left hand approach to the instrument
Observe the use of the strumming of the left hand little finger to stabilize the instrument placement and loose elevation of the left arm movement. This also strengthens the little finger of the left hand.
I-2: Bow hold
In this video you will see the bow holds from the front and back as the players move their arm position for the camera. French and German bow holds are demonstrated for the bass players.
I-3: Bow levels
Each player bows from high string to low to show the changing of the arm levels.
I-4: Bow distribution
With a repeated pattern of long and short bows you can see the different parts of bow used for these different lengths.
