Margaret Forsythe ’46

Planned gifts that benefit the libraries may include bequests as well as gifts of assets that generate income, such as gift annuities, charitable remainder trusts, and pooled income funds.  A full explanation of planned giving options is available on the Oberlin College Development Office website.

An estate gift from Margaret Forsythe ‘46 enabled the renovation of the special collections and archives reading room and also created a classroom designed for teaching with special collections and archival materials.

The bequest of Professor of History Frederick B. Artz, consisting of a rich collection representing the history of the book and the history of printing, has had a transformative effect on the library’s capacity to partner with faculty creating a new Book Studies curricular concentration.
