Art for Mudd

Anonymous alumni have donated to the college three relief sculptures by New York artist Linda Graves '60. She came 5 May to oversee their installation. Dragon Proverb I, painted black, has four Chinese charecters surrounded by positive and negative space. Graves lived in Taiwan as a Shansi representative after her graduation and since then has occasionally taught at Tsinghua University in Beijing. Dragon Proverb I and it's companion Dragon Proverb II, painted white, are on the third level of Mudd. Red Dream is in Stevenson's Griswold Commons.
