PERFORMING AND VISUAL ARTS COLLEGE FAIR COMING TO OBERLIN ON OCTOBER 10

SEPTEMBER 25, 2001-- Students interested in continuing their education in the areas of music, dance, theater, visual arts, graphic design and other related fields are invited to attend the Oberlin/Cleveland Performing and Visual Arts College Fair on Wednesday, October 10 from 7-9 pm in the Root Room of the Carnegie Building, on the campus of Oberlin College.

Sponsored by the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC), this free event provides students seeking an undergraduate or graduate program in the performing or visual arts the opportunity to meet one-on-one with admission representatives from a variety of colleges, universities, conservatories, studios and summer arts programs. Students can receive information such as entrance requirements, auditions, and financial aid opportunities. The Performing and Visual Arts College Fair Program annually brings more than 5500 students in contact with over 1000 institutions of higher education at more than 25 fairs nationwide.

NACAC schools planning to attend this year include: û American Academy of Dramatic Arts, Aspen Music Festival and School, Baldwin-Wallace Conservatory, Carnegie Mellon School of Music, Columbia College, Columbus College of Arts & Design, Duquesne University, Eastman School of Music, The Hartt School, Illinois Wesleyan University, Indiana University School of Music, Interlochen Center for the Arts, The Juilliard School, Manhattan School of Music, New England Conservatory, North Carolina School of the Arts, Northwestern University, Oberlin Conservatory of Music, Peabody Conservatory of Music, Rice University, Westminster Choir College, San Francisco Art Institute, Seton Hill College, University of Cincinnati - CCM, and the University of Maryland.
