FEBRUARY 19, 2001-- Author, poet and screenwriter Sherman Alexie will present the fifth lecture in Oberlin College's 2001-2002 Convocation series at 8 P.M. Tuesday, March 5. The title of his address is "Killing Indians: Myths, Lies and Exaggerations."

The talk is free and open to the public and will be presented in the College's Finney Chapel, located on the corner of North Professor and West Lorain Streets.

A Spokane/Coeur d'Alene Indian from Washington state, Alexie is the award-winning author of 14 books of poetry and fiction. He was named one of the top writers for the 21st century by The New Yorker.
