Oberlin students to help develop K-4 science curriculum

The Howard Hughes Medical Institute Outreach Program provides public school teachers with grants to develop classroom science projects. Teachers then work with Oberlin College science majors to implement the proposals. The HHMI Program aims to use Oberlin College's biomedical resources to enrich science curriculum in local schools, while engaging Oberlin students in innovative science teaching.

Local schools to receive Hughes grants include Eastwood Elementary and Prospect Elementary in Oberlin, Cascade Elementary in Elyria, Meister Road Elementary in Lorain and Westwood Elementary in Wellington.
