OBERLIN, OHIO --Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences Clayton Koppes recently announced that Oberlin College has named Michael Muska to fill the position of Delta Lodge Director of Athletics and Physical Education. Muska brings a wide array of experience to the position, having worked as a coach, counselor, assistant athletic director and associate director of admissions during his career. "Mike Muska displays the leadership skills necessary for both effective administration and communication with a diverse constituency," says Dean Koppes. "He brings not only wide knowledge of successful athletics and physical education programs, but boundless enthusiasm and commitment to his new position."

Muska comes to Oberlin College from Milton Academy in Milton, Mass., where he has been the college counselor and track coach since 1996. During his career he has coached 20 All-Americans. His other coaching experience includes stints at Cornell University and the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.

At Oberlin, Muska will be responsible for all phases of the athletics and physical education program, including intercollegiate athletics, intramurals, club sports and wellness. His duties will begin July 1. The Delta Lodge Director of Athletics and Physical Education position is made possible by the charitable gift from W. Shelby Oliver and Evelyn G. Oliver (Class of '35/'34).
