The central mission of the Office of Religious and Spiritual Life (ORSL) is to promote inter-religious understanding and enhance the academic and social experience of students, faculty, staff, alumni families and friends of the College on issues of religious and spiritual life. ORSL is a multifaith and ecumenical resource center that provides programs and services for a diverse campus community including a wide array of religious and secular organizations. ORSL supports and collaborates with many campus and local groups, ranging from religious to social service and social action organizations.

  • To call attention to the religious dimensions of public discourse, especially as it pertains to ethical questions;
  • To promote inter-faith and intra-faith dialogue;
  • To challenge stereotypes about religious life and practice
  • To ensure that members of this College community find support for their particular questions, and that they are received in an environment of trust in this intellecturally-charged setting
