DESCRIPTION
Clamp the rubber tubing near the center and fill one side of the apparatus to a height h with colored water.  Remove the clamp and the water flows from one tube to the other until the water level settles at a common height h/2 at equilibrium.  The second binder clip can be used to partially obstruct the tubing and slow the process.  This is analogous to charging a capacitor to a voltage V, then connecting it to a second capacitor.
