DESCRIPTION
With the power supply set to about 4 A, probe the coil with the compass needle to show the shape of the magnetic field.

NOTES

Focus the camera on the plane through the center of the coil.

The coil is delicate.  Support it on the terry cloth rag for both the demo and when in storage.
