DESCRIPTION
Charge the amber base of the
electrophorus negatively by rubbing it with rabbit fur. Hold the
aluminum plate by
the insulating handle and place it on top of the base. Grounding
the
aluminum plate charges it positively by induction. This can be
verified
with an electroscope. The base will remain charged and the
aluminum
plate can be charged repeatedly in this manner.
