DESCRIPTION

The two wood blocks have the same volume and different densities.  The more massive mahogany block displaces more water.

 

NOTES

A similar demonstration can be done with cans of diet coke and regular coke, or 16 lb bowling ball and 8 lb. ball in the aquarium.
