Drop an egg down the stairwell
onto some foam rubber to show that it doesn't break, demonstrating that
increasing the duration of the impulse decreases the force.
Have a student catch the egg on
the
first bounce. Drop the ball a couple of times first, for practice.
NOTES
Stack two pieces
of foam rubber at the bottom of the stairwell. Clamp the
ring to the second floor railing, directly over the foam
rubber.
