The SumpPump Monkeys were my guests this evening, promoting their upcoming show with Dick Dale at the Beachland Ballroom in Cleveland on May 17, 2002. I had never met any of the band before this, but I had seen them play when they opened for The Mermen at the Grog Shop and again at InstroBilly 2001 at the Beachland Tavern. I must apologize for spending too much time talking rather than playing the music, but I did learn something from trying this format out and it will help in the future.
