-HUMAN TRAFFICKING: What is human trafficking? Why does human trafficking
(and manifestations of it) occur? What is being done to address it, in the
United States and abroad?

* GABRIELA VILLAREAL, National Asian/Pacific American Womens Forum
* SEL J WAHNG, Postdoctoral Fellow and Research Associate at National Development
and Research Institutes, Inc./Medical and Health Research Association of NYC.
He is also a Visiting Scholar and Adjunct Professor at the Center for the
Study of Ethnicity and Race, Columbia University. He is presently conducting
research on male-to-female transgendered people in NYC as part of a five-year
National Institutes of Health-funded study, with a focus on people of color.
He is also working on a manuscript about No. 606 injections and the defeminization
and masculinization of Korean sex slaves during the Pacific War. He is published
in several journals and the anthology _Violence and the Body: Race, Gender
and the State.
