Film: City of Lost Children. A scientist in a surrealist society kidnaps children to steal their dreams, hoping that they will slow his aging process. Presented by OFS. West Lecture Hall, 7, 9 and 11 p.m.

Recital: Karen Piranian, piano. Warner Concert Hall, 8 p.m.

Concert: The Oberlin Contemporary Music Ensemble/The Oberlin Orchestra with “eighth blackbird.” Timothy Weiss, conductor, Stephen Montague, guest composer. George Benjamin: Octet, Randolph Coleman: Apparitions, David Schober: Split Horizon, Webern: Konzert, Op. 24, Montague: Behold a Pale Horse, for organ and brass septet, Balint Karosi, organ. Finney Chapel, 8 p.m.

Saturday, Dec. 13

Concert: Holiday Concert at the Allen Memorial Art Museum. Sounds of the season at the fourth annual free holiday museum concert. Allen Art Museum, 2 p.m.

Opera: Opera Scenes Program, Part I. Jonathon Field and Victoria Vaughan, directors. Scenes from The Coronation of Poppea (Monteverdi), Cendrillon (Massenet), Der Freischtz (Weber), Martha (von Flotow) and The Marriage of Figaro (Mozart). Kulas Recital Hall, 4 p.m.

Film: Grosse Pointe Blank. Martin Blank is a professional assassin. He is sent on a mission to a small Detroit suburb, Grosse Pointe. By coincidence, his ten-year high school reunion party is taking place there at the same time. Presented by OFS. West Lecture Hall, 7, 9 and 11 p.m.

Film: Muppet Movie. Kermit and his new-found friends trek across America in search of success in Hollywood, but a frog-legs merchant is after Kermit. Let the Muppets take away the stress of finals. Presented by OFS. West Lecture Hall, 8 and 10 p.m.

Monday, Dec. 15

Concert: Bassoon Christmas. Conservatory Bassoon Majors play holiday music. Conservatory Central Student Lounge, 12 p.m.
