Student Assistants act as liaisons

To the Editor:

Many people are not aware of the presence of Student Assistants on the Oberlin Campus. We are writing to inform you of our role in the College community. The President, Dean of the College, Dean of Student Life and Service, and Vice President for Finance each hire student assistants to serve as liaisons between the administration and the student body and to do special projects that have an impact on student life. Some of the things we have done this semester include gathering and compiling student input during the budget forums and creating web pages for our respective offices. Currently, we are organizing the upcoming red-tape cutting forums, which we hope will make the administration more understandable than ever before (more information TBA!).

We are committed to being red-tape cutters and making the administration more accessible and accountable. Please feel free to contact any of us with any concerns you may have.
