John Bucher was chosen to be the new Director of Computing. He is scheduled to take the helm on July 1. Currently Bucher holds a similar position at Kansas State University.

Abusua members and other students met with President Nancy Dye to discuss her response and the campus' response to Kwame Ture's Oberlin visit several weeks ago. Faculty members supported Dye's response in a letter written to The Observer.
Changes made to eliminate extra time
A shorter orientation is planned for next year's incoming class. The first-years will be treated to a more intense five-day orientation with structural changes. An all-class service project as well as a speaker are possible additions.
