In preparation for taking office on July 1, 1997, the new dean will be brought to the college to meet students, faculty and staff.

Colish said that it will be important to integrate the new dean quickly so that he or she may begin to work with Karen Wolff, Conservatory dean on sabbatical this year, in the new role. The new dean will act not only
