Member of the College community is being treated for TB
A College student was diagnosed with tuberculosis this week. Testing for tuberculosis has been extended, and students that may have had contact with the infected student have been asked to be tested.
Kuttner leads groups of staff, faculty, students in talks
The College's long range planning process reached another point this week when a series of focus groups of students, faculty and staff met to discuss future goals of the College. The focus groups will continue next week.
Next leadership retreat scheduled on Oct. 18 and 19
A leadership retreat for student leaders is being planned by Joe DiChristina, associate dean for campus life. DiChristina hopes to foster working relationships between leaders, and wants them to see how different people's strengths can work together.
Convenience store carries coffee as well as cold medicine
A new store, the C-store, has been opened in the corner of the snack bar. The store sells basic foodstuffs, candy and toiletries. It is open during the evenings. Yet to be discovered by many students, the store is seeing only a trickle of business.
Dye misses meeting, OhioPIRG asks for approval of petition
Student Senate welcomed new senators, but not President Nancy Dye, to their meeting. Due to miscommunication Dye missed the meeting, but senators still had work to do. They elected internal positions and named senators to different committees.
New program pairs first-years with older LGB students
The Lesbian Gay and Bisexual (LGB) Union started a new program this year that matches first year LGB students with upperclassmen. The program was organized by Dee Wells, OC'95 and Multicultural Resource Center intern.
