The Presidential Debate Sunday attracted the interests of many students, including hundreds who gathered to watch the political showdown in Wilder Hall. OhioPIRG and OC Democrats collaborated to organize the event. The debate inspired a host of reactions.
Group plans dance to coincide with display of AIDS quilt
The AIDS quilt will be laid out in the Heisman Field House in December. In early December, an AIDS benefit party will be held in Stevenson. 12,000 advertising fliers will be distributed.
Group needs approval of two-thirds of students for fee increase
OhioPIRG is currently funded by a fee assessed on all students. The fee structure must be reaffirmed every two years. This year the group hopes to have an increased fee ratified.
Students join Latino-rights march in DC
Semana Latina was organized this past week by La Alianza. The week included a variety of events to raise awareness about Latino issues. Many were pleased, although some felt the turnout was low.
Residential Life adjusts to new structure
Budget cuts last year led to a restructuring of Residential Life. Although some staff members werewary of the changes, many feel the transition has been smooth.
