Oberlin's Fall 1996 All-NCAC Athletes

This has been the fall of Oberlin sports. In a good way. While the wins may not have piled up for most of Oberlin's teams, many individuals grabbed the attention of the conference.

Twenty-two Oberlin athletes, pictured here, are among the all-North Coast Athletic Conference selections made by coaches in each sport. Overwhelmingly, the athletes are among the most experienced on each team. Seniors Alex Dawe, Shannon Fox and David Reeves have made the teams in the past. Juniors Katherine Roberts and Harsha Thirumurthy and sophomores Lisa Novins are also repeat all-conference players. Among the 15 first time all-NCAC picks are a pair of first-year students, field hockey attack Lydia Ries and the women's cross country rookie of the year Rebecca Grossman. For the first time since 1992, three Oberlin football players have been honored. (photos courtesy SID and Jessica Resnik)
