Club Equestrian Team traveled to Lake Erie

On Feb. 15 and 16 the Oberlin Equestrian Team went to Lake Erie College again for an intercollegiate horse show.

On the first day, junior Ellen Cheeseman won fourth in the Novice flat class, and sophomore Leslie Goldman won third. Goldman also recieved fifth in the Novice over fences class, and junior Shuna Klaveness placed second in the Novice flat class.

Klaveness placed fifth in the Intermediate over fences class, sophomore Matt Groza won a sixth in the Walk-Trot class, where junior Jess Pittman placed second. Sophomore Audrey Wasser came in second in the Advanced Walk-Trot-Canter class

On the second day, sophomore Carolyn Ennis won the Intermediate over fences class, and Wasser won the Advanced Walk-Trot-Canter class. Klaveness won another second in the Novice flat class, Pittman was third in the Walk-Trot and junior Melissa Battwald came in sixth in the Beginning Walk-Trot-Canter class.

Cheeseman won another fourth, this time in the Novice over Fences class, and also won a sixth in the Novice flat class. Goldman placed fifth in the Novice flat. Overall, a good show was had by all.
