To the Editor:
In response to the debate over thank-you letters to donors, I have a small suggestion which may resolve the whole situation. Since the College is unable to plaque low-income students, as it does with donated benches and lounges, perhaps they can give us tee shirts which say "I attend Oberlin thanks to the generosity of Jane Q. Smith." In that way, the College can assure that gratitude is expressed, while also having control over its content.
