The following is a compilation of weekly reports from the Office of Safety and Security.

Nov. 21
9:26 p.m. Officer responded to a report of a student falling from a chair. Student was transported to Allen Memorial Hospital via ambulance; treated for a broken right forearm, and released.
11:02 p.m. Officer responded with Oberlin Fire Department to a pull station alarm at Langston Hall. Matter under investigation.

Nov. 22
2:00 p.m. Officer responded with a Oberlin Fire Department to fire alarm. Cause was food particles on a burner.
2:00 p.m. Officer responded to a report of a student fainting. Transported to Allen Memorial Hospital for checkup.
4:58 p.m. Officer responded to report of cigarette butts and an offensive note dumped outside the door of a student room. Matter under investigation.

Nov. 23
9:30 p.m. Officer received report of theft of a bike from the rack outside Barnard. Missing is a green, 18-speed, men's Roadster mountain bike, valued at $115.

Nov. 24
12:45 p.m. Officer responded to a report of a student mailbox tampered with. The mailbox had been taped from the inside, preventing delivery of mail. Matter under investigation.
2:30 p.m. Officer responded to a report of harassing email to several faculty in Rice Hall. Matter under investigation.
3:30 p.m. Officer responded to a report of a bike theft from the Conservatory. Bike is a red Trek, 10-speed, unknown value.
10:37 p.m. Officer responded to a report of a vehicle seen in the area of Professor and Morgan Streets possibly bearing the Safety and Security Shuttle Bus signs. The area was checked, but the vehicle was not located. Matter under investigation.

Nov. 25
2:45 p.m. Officer spoke with student who reported continual erratic and threatening behavior from a roommate. Matter under investigation.
3:00 p.m. Officer responded to a report of vandalism to a vending machine in Dascomb Hall. Attempts were made to remove candy from the machine causing damage to access tray.
9:00 p.m. Officer responded to report of objects being thrown at a room window in Langston. No damage to the window; no one was found in the area.
10:50 p.m. Officer responded to a fire alarm at Keep; second floor. Cause of the alarm was a student smoking in his room.

Nov. 26
2:15 p.m. Officer responded to a report of trash container hanging out the side of a vehicle. Trash can was removed from the vehicle; there appeared to be no damage. Vehicle was secured.
9:50 p.m. Officer responded with the Oberlin Fire Department to a fire alarm at Langston. Alarm was caused by cooking smoke not being exhausted rapidly enough.

Nov. 27
12:21 a.m. Officer responded with Oberlin Fire Department to a fire alarm at Talcott. Smoke was caused by unattended food in microwave.
3:22 p.m. Officer responded with Oberlin Fire Department to a fire alarm at East Hall. Smoke was caused by oven grease in second floor kitchenette.

Nov. 28
4:54 p.m. Officer responded with Oberlin Fire Department to a fire alarm at East Hall. Four rooms contained bagged directors. Cause of the alarm was a system malfunction.

Nov. 29
11:30 p.m. Officer responded to a report of an ankle injury on the indoor tennis courts. Victim was transported to Allen Memorial Hospital, treated and released.

Dec. 1
3:22 p.m. Officer responded to a report of a fight at Philips Gym. Victim, a member of the Rec. Center, was treated and released from Allen memorial Hospital. Matter under investigation by Safety and Security Office and Oberlin Police Department.
2:29 a.m. Officer responded to a report of a student returning from break to find their room unlocked and unknown substance spilled on the desk. Matter under investigation.
4:11 a.m. Officer responded to a report of smoke in the custodial room. Oberlin Fire Department responded. Problem was located in a restroom exhaust fan.
