The following is a compilation of weekly reports from the Office of Safety and Security.

Sept. 21, 10:20 a.m. An officer responded to a report from a student of the theft of her purse from Wilder DeCafe. The purse contained a wallet, checkbook and various credit cards. The checkbook and credit cards were cancelled. The incident is under investigation by the Safety and Security Office.

Sept. 21, 8:10 p.m. An officer responded to a report from a student of a lizard in her room in South Hall. The room was checked but the lizard could not be located. The incident is under investigation by the Safety and Security Office and Ace Wild Life.

Sept. 23, 12:00 a.m. An officer and the Oberlin Fire Department responded to a fire alarm in Price. The alarm was activated by a malfunctioning detector.

Sept. 23, 1:40 a.m. An officer responded to a request from a staff member for assistance with a group of underage individuals consuming alcohol at Fairchild. Alcohol was removed from the room and college rules were discussed with guests.

Sept. 23, 12:00 p.m. An officer responded to a report from a student of the theft of his bicycle from the east parking lot bike rack at Asia House. The bicycle is a gray Huffy 10 speed and was not locked at the time of theft.

Sept. 24, 1:30 a.m. An officer transported a student to Allen Memorial Hospital for treatment after the student became ill from alcohol consumption.

Sept. 24, 6:26 p.m. An officer and the Oberlin Fire Department responded to a fire alarm in Barrows Hall. The alarm was activated by a burning washer belt in an overloaded washing machine.

Sept. 24, 6:26 p.m. An officer received a report from Oberlin Fire Department of a student found sleeping in his room during a fire alarm at Barrows. The student was awakened and escorted from the building. State law requires all occupants to evacuate the building during a fire alarm.

Sept. 24, 7:23 p.m. An officer and the Oberlin Fire Department responded to a fire alarm in the second floor of Asia House. The alarm was activated by smoke from cooking.

Sept. 24, 8:30 p.m. An officer responded to a report from a staff member of a disturbance with a tem porary employee at Stevenson Dining Hall. The employee left the area prior to arrival of an officer.

Sept. 25, 12:35 a.m. An officer transported a staff member to Allen Memorial Hospital emergency room for treatment after she slipped at the Safety and Security Office and injured her back.

Sept. 25, 1:54 a.m. An officer and the Oberlin Fire Department responded to a fire alarm in the second floor of Langston Hall. The alarm was activated by smoke from burnt popcorn.

Sept. 25, 10:58 a.m. An officer responded to a report from a staff member of a threat from a temporary employee resulting from a disagreement. The incident is being investigated by the Safety and Security Office.

Sept. 26, 8:26 p.m. An officer and the Oberlin Fire Department responded to a fire alarm in the second floor of Langston. The alarm was activated by cigarette smoke.
