Mar. 1, 4:18 p.m. A student reported receiving a harassing phone call, not threatening in nature. The student did not want further action at this time.

Mar. 1, 7:12 p.m. Two residents of Langston Hall reported the theft of a VCR remote and three CDs missing from their room. The incident is under investigation.

Mar. 1, 10:14 p.m. Officers and Oberlin Fire Department units responded to a fire alarm at Harvey. A fog machine, to be used for a performance, was the cause of the alarm.

Mar. 2, 1:05 a.m. A staff member reported vandalism at the ‘Sco in Wilder Hall. Graffiti was written in chalk on three boards in the northwest corner. It was later learned that two students who were joking around were responsible. 

Mar. 2, 7:29 a.m. A staff member reported vandalism next to the main entrance doors at Wilder Hall. Graffiti was written in black permanent marker on the sandstone wall. A work order was placed for removal.

Mar. 2, 11:32 a.m. A staff member at Stevenson Hall was transported to Allen Memorial Hospital for treatment for striking her head on a brick wall while attempting to put away items.

Mar. 2, 3:10 p.m. An anonymous caller reported someone smoking marijuana near the elevator on the first floor of Burton Hall. A check of the area was made, but no one could be located.

Mar. 3, 12:07 a.m. A resident of Langston Hall reported something possibly burning in the lounge on the third floor. Officers located a plastic garbage bag with charred paper, cigarette butts thrown on the couch and a burned spot on the back of the couch. The incident is under investigation.

Mar. 3, 2:17 p.m. A security officer on patrol, observed several juveniles in front of the Environmental Center skateboarding. The juveniles were informed of the policy prohibiting skateboarding on campus and they left the area.

Mar. 3, 9:45 p.m. Officers and Oberlin Fire Department responded to a fire alarm at Barrows. The cause was found to be dust in a room with a smoke detector.

Mar. 3, 11:33 p.m. A student reported his bicycle was vandalized while locked to the bike rack near Jones Field House. The seat was slashed and tires were flat. Estimate of damage is unknown.

Mar. 3, 11:54 p.m. A resident of Harkness was transported to Allen Memorial Hospital emergency room, by ambulance after falling and injuring her knee.

Mar. 4, 1:06 a.m. A student was transported to Allen Memorial Hospital for treatment after becoming ill from alcohol.

Mar. 4, 8 a.m. A staff member reported a computer monitor missing from the CIT computer lab at Mudd. It was later learned the monitor was removed for servicing.

Mar. 6, 9:05 a.m. A staff member reported a minor vehicle accident in the parking lot of Talcott. The door of a delivery truck was caught by the wind causing it to strike the driver’s door of a parked vehicle.

Mar. 6, 7:56 p.m. A student was transported to Allen Memorial Hospital for treatment after falling down stairs at the Conservatory.
