Sept.
20, 11:00 a.m. A resident of Dascomb reported receiving several
harassing phone calls since returning to Oberlin. Arrangements
were made for the students phone number to be changed.

20, 8:50 p.m. A student reported a bookbag missing from the
third floor study area. The bookbag was located at the Circulation
Desk and returned to the owner. All contents were intact.
Sept.
20, 3:18 p.m. An officer and the Oberlin Fire Department responded
to a fire alarm at the new Science Center. The alarm was activated
by contractors sanding.
Sept.
21, 10:11 a.m. An officer and the Oberlin Fire Department
responded to a fire alarm at Kade. The alarm was caused by
a malfunctioning alarm.

21, 12:19 a.m. Security officers noticed the vending machine
in Noah Hall dispensing money and products. The items were
collected and transported to the Security Office. The vending
machine company was notified.

21, 7:13 a.m. A staff member reported that while backing from
a parking space in the east Service Building lot, she struck
a large truck parked in the space behind her. There was no
damage to the truck and only minor damage to the other vehicle.

21, 1:15 p.m. A Safety and Security officer responded to a
medical emergency in Wilder Bowl. Officers assisted a student
who slipped injuring her ankle. The student was transported
to the emergency room for treatment.

21, 1:23 a.m. A Safety and Security officer responded to Noah
where a student thought she had possibly recovered her bicycle
which had been reported stolen. Proof of ownership was obtained
and the bicycle was released to the owner.

23, 10:10 a.m. A Safety and Security officer responded to
a report of nuisance calls being received by a resident of
Fairchild. The student was given literature on harassing phone
calls and referred to the Oberlin Police Department.

23, 12:42 p.m. An officer and the Oberlin Fire Department
responded to a fire alarm at Kade. The alarm was caused by
smoke from food being cooked.
Sept.
23, 1:30 p.m. Students reported the theft of two Oberlin sweatshirts,
valued at $50 each, from the laundry room in South Hall. The
clothing was left unattended for approximately 30 minutes.
Sept. 23, 2:15 p.m. A student reported the theft of her bicycle
from the bike rack on the north side of South Hall. The bicycle
is a blue Free Spirit, womens, three speed. The bicycle
was locked at the time of theft.

23, 6:42 p.m. An officer and the Oberlin Fire Department responded
to a fire alarm at Kade. The alarm was caused by smoke from
food being cooked.

24, 10:00 p.m. An officer and the Oberlin Fire Department
responded to a fire alarm at Wilder DeCafé. The alarm
was caused by smoke from food being cooked.
Sept. 25, 12:20 p.m. A student reported the theft of his alarm
clock from his locker at the Conservatory. No further description
of the alarm clock was provided.

25, 9:44 p.m. A Safety and Security officer responded to a
report of an odor of marijuana coming from a room in Barrows
Hall. Residential Life staff will make a follow-up.
Sept.
26, 9:19 a.m. A student reported receiving two non-threatening
nuisance phone calls. The student was referred to Oberlin
Police Department.
Sept.
26 3:41 p.m. A Safety and Security officer responded to several
reports of a male subject selling magazines in Langston Hall.
After being warned of the colleges policy on trespass
and soliciting on campus, the subject was later found in East
Hall, arrested and charged with Criminal Trespass.

26, 7:46 a.m. An officer and the Oberlin Fire Department responded
to water flooding Langston and causing the fire detector to
activate.
