18, 12:25 a.m. A student reported the theft of her bicycle from
the west side of Harkness, valued at $250.
April
18, 10:05 a.m. A student reported the theft of his bicycle from
Noah storage. The bicycle is a Huffy Zurich 55, red in color and
valued at $120. The bicycle is registered with the City of Oberlin.
April
18, 12 p.m. A student reported receiving several harassing phone
calls at her off campus residence. The calls were non-threatening
in nature.
April
19, 12:21 a.m. A staff member requested assistance for a student
who fell and injured his ankle at Wilder Hall. The student was transported
to Allen Medical Center for treatment.

19, 8:59 a.m. A staff member requested assistance after misjudging
a step in Stevenson Hall and falling, injuring her ankle. The staff
member was transported to Allen Medical Center for treatment.

19, 12:20 p.m. A staff member at Wilder reported the theft of food
from the Rathskeller. The food, taken from the buffet as a carryout,
was valued at $5.99.

19, 5 p.m. A student reported the theft of tennis equipment from
the locker room, valued at $470.

20, 12:16 a.m. An officer on patrol of the Wilder Bowl area observed
a student carrying a street sign. The No Parking Any Time
sign was confiscated and transported to the Security Office.

21, 12:43 a.m. A resident of Asia House reported loud music coming
from a room on the first floor. Officers responded and located the
resident responsible for an unauthorized party. The party was shut
down and alcohol was confiscated.

21, 3:30 a.m. A Safety and Security Officer responded to a report
of a damaged light pole near the Conservatory. A witness said eight
subjects knocked over the pole then left in a black over white pick-up
truck. The matter is under investigation.

21, 8:05 a.m. A Safety and Security Officer on patrol of Hales Gym
observed a discharged fire extinguisher in the basement area and
alcoholic containers near the west door. A work order was placed
for clean up of the area.

21, 8:11 a.m. A Safety and Security Officer reported finding spray
paint on the sandstone sidewalk outside the northeast section of
Hales art studios. It appeared someone had painted portions of an
art project without protecting the walk. A work order was placed
for a clean-up of the area.

21, 4:35 p.m. A student reported the loss of his cell phone at the
rugby field on Saturday between 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. Anyone locating
the phone may turn it in to the Safety and Security Office.

21, 7:45 p.m. The Wilder food service manager reported to a Safety
and Security Officer that a student represented an item for purchase
as an item of lesser value. When questioned about the purchase,
the student responded rudely and left. The incident will be referred
for consideration of judicial charges.

22, 8:37 a.m. A staff member reported the Harkness Hall placard
missing from the north side of the building for approximately a
week. A Safety and Security Officer responded and located several
other hardware items, but not the missing sign. The matter is under
investigation.

22, 8:37 a.m. A staff member reported a vehicle parked in the grass
north of the baseball diamond. A Safety and Security Officer responded
and asked the student who parked the vehicle to remove it before
damage occurred to the grounds.

22, 9:45 a.m. A local businessman reported receiving a check for
non-sufficient funds from a student. The student was contacted and
asked to make arrangements to pay the debt. The businessman also
reported the incident to the Oberlin Police Department.

22, 11:34 p.m. A Wilder food service employee reported a student
represented an item for purchase as an item of lesser value. A Safety
and Security Officer responded. The incident will be referred for
consideration of judicial charges.

23, 3:15 p.m. A Safety and Security Officer responded to a report
of a student ill from medication. The student was taken to the Oberlin
Medical Center for treatment.

24, 12:30 a.m. A Wilder food service manager reported a student
shoplifted food items from DeCafe, and fled. A Safety and Security
Officer responded. The incident is under investigation.

24, 3:44 a.m. A College staff member reported a burned poster on
the first floor of Langston Hall. No damage occurred to the wall.
The matter is under investigation.

24, 12:30 a.m. A Wilder food service manager reported a student
placed a food item in his coat pocket to avoid paying prior to entering
the food line. A Safety and Security Officer responded. The incident
will be referred for consideration of judicial charges.

24, 12:30 a.m. A student, while paying for parking citations, reported
damage to the lock securing the immobilizer. The damage occurred
as another student attempted to defeat the device. The incident
will be referred for consideration of judicial charges.

24, 3:10 p.m. A staff member reported the loss of a video tripod
and monitor from the press box at the stadium. A Safety and Security
Officer responded. The matter is under investigation.
April
24, 3:10 p.m. A student reported her blue and purple mountain bike,
locked in a rack at the northeast corner of the Conservatory, missing.
The bike was valued at $30. The loss was reported to the Oberlin
Police Department.
April
25th, 12:35 a.m. The Oberlin Police Department contacted the Safety
and Security Office to take custody of a student they stopped for
open alcohol container. The student was taken to his residence hall.
April
25, 3:15 a.m. The Safety and Security dispatcher reported an unauthorized
entry to the Safety and Security Building. A Safety and Security
Officer responded to find the subject had fled. Entry was made through
a south first floor window. The Oberlin Police Department is investigating.
