Register to vote

To the Editors:

I am writing in hopes that my letter will serve as a friendly reminder to my fellow students to register to vote or to change their registration to Ohio. It’s a very simple process that can be done either by stopping by the information desk in Wilder or by coming to the table that will be set up at various dining halls and also in front of Wilder during the week after spring break.
The election coming up is very local, which means that individual votes matter tremendously. There will be three tax levy items on the ballot in May— one of them failed in November by only 56 votes. If you think your vote does not count, think again. Had 57 more Oberlin students voted, that measure would have passed.
The deadline for registration is April 5th. Please, make a difference in one of the easiest ways possible— vote.
