Planning Process 2014-16

The Oberlin College Strategic Plan was developed over an 18-month year period from September 2014 through February 2016, led by the Strategic Planning Steering Committee in an open process that invited regular participation and feedback. The Steering Committee, comprising trustees, faculty, administrative and professional staff, alumni, and students, met regularly as a whole and as working groups throughout this time. Their efforts were supplemented by a distinguished speaker series, relevant readings on the state of higher education, and many listening sessions with students, staff, faculty, and alumni.
