Requirements: In order to receive credit for the class, you must attend all of the sessions and hand in all of the written work (see below) in a timely fashion.
Written work: You are required to turn in 3 short writeups. which
will include 1) the point of the experiment, 2) the data, 3) analyzed data,
4) interpretation of the results, and 5) references to 2 articles that
used similar techniques or looked at similar questions. Write-ups
will be done on 8 1/2 X 11 inch paper that does not have any perforated
edges (i.e. not torn out of a notebook). It does not need to be typed
but must be legible. If your write ups are unclear you will
be asked to redo them. If you are asked to do so you have one week
to turn in the revised version. Important: We will allow for 1 late
assignment. Upon your second late assignment you will be given an NE for
the course. Failure to turn in an assignment before Oct 17 will also earn
an NE for the course.
