Picture of an American Revival

Second Semester. Introduction to the major issues, figures and movements in American Christianity. Attention will be given to persistent themes such as individualism, the search for community, religion and reform, religious conservatism and innovation, and the religious nature of American culture. Race, class, ethnicity, and gender will also be addressed as we explore religion in America and its diversity. The goal is to better understand the place of religion in American Society; past, present, and future.
