This seminar will focus on Generation X: the cohort born during the mid-1960s
through the late 1970s. We will examine issues concerning relationships and
sexuality, employment and unemployment, cultural contributions, communication
and social concerns of this generation. Emphasis will be placed on
understanding how this generation differs from others and what implications
this has for quality of life and social policy. Texts, videos, music and the
Internet (including WWW) will be used in this course. Prerequisites
3 Sociology courses OR consent of the instructor.
