Option A: Write a final essay in accordance with instructions on separate sheet.

Basic formula for course grade:

First position paper 15%

First research report 15%

Second position paper 15%

Second research report 15%

Final essay 25%

Class participation, including AVF 15%

Note: If you wish to receive writing certification for the course, you must elect this option and notify the instructor of your wish. Students who elect this option are excused from posting an AltaVista Forum message for Dec. 13.

Option B: Waive your right to write a final essay.
