Essay #2
How would you explain the process of radicalization and the intensified social and political conflict that occurred following the February Revolution? Would you place primary weight on the worsening socio-economic conditions? On the ideological conflicts dividing the major political parties? On Russia’s continued participation in the war? On issues of leadership?
The essay should be 5-7 typed double-spaced pages (preferably in 14-pt. font, but no smaller than 12-pt) with margins that are neither microscopic nor huge, so that I can comment on your writing and argumentation. Please remember to paginate. Your essay should be properly proof read and contain the appropriate scholarly apparatus (that is, footnoting and bibliographic information). You may wish to consult Turabian, A Manual for Writers, available at several locations in Mudd, or on-line guides for proper citation available through the library’s home page.
The essay is due Friday, April 4.
