What are the problems with the selection of readings?

• They provide only a small sampling of the possible works in this subject.
• There's not nearly enough racial diversity in the readings.
• There's only one bisexual author and no transgender authors.

In no way should the project be seen as a "complete" picture of the subject. Winter Term projects at Oberlin College are often seen as opportunities for students to do extended study but not necessarily exhaustive research (Winter Term lasts only one month).

I am still early in my research on this subject and I hope my lists of texts will look very different (and more diverse) in the future.

It's just a start.
