Dear Paranoid,
There's a sense in which you're being watched, but not one that would justify the frame of mind designated by your name. Those little boxes are sensors that tell the automatic door mechanism when a person going through the door has passed clear of it. Once that happens and the little click goes off, the door closes. Pretty nifty, huh?
