Vannevar Bush said, "Let it be linked," and about twenty years later Ted Nelson named it hypertext and it was good. Scientists made faster computers and bigger networks so their students could play text-based adventure games. Everybody got Wired on the Web, and that was better, because now anyone can write a hypertext.
