Font size: AAA

Purpose

MuddSlinger is a shared community whiteboard curated by staff of the Mary Church Terrell Main Library to foster informal engagement and enjoyment for everyone within our campus community. It offers a forum for unattributed dialogue, expression, and ideas on a wide variety of topics. Prompts are posted primarily by library staff and generally reflect their interests in promoting libraries, learning, critical engagement with information, student success, and a welcoming library environment. All contributors are expected to take responsibility for promoting the aims of MuddSlinger as a forum for cooperative and respectful engagement and the free expression of ideas.

Oversight

Library staff curate prompts and monitor posts to ensure they adhere to campus policies and community norms regarding principles of equity, diversity, and inclusion. Library staff may remove content determined to be inappropriate, disrespectful, offensive, or outside the spirit of MuddSlinger, or that violate campus policies, and may pursue further action in cases of persistent inappropriate posts. Library staff welcome suggestions from the campus community for MuddSlinger prompts.
